Well I had a CT Scan yesterday and it turns out they did it wrong. 
It was marked on my requisition that I was to get a Chest and Abdominal CT Scan, but someone saw my old Chest CT Scan ( over a month old ) and took it upon themselves to cross out the Chest CT Scan yesterday.
We were not happy when we found this out today!
My PET Scan was pretty cool. They took me into this room and injected me with some radioactive sugar. Then they left me in this room for 45 minutes while the injection circulated through my body. After that time was up I was loaded into the machine. I forgot to mention that everything was housed in a Semi-Trailer made possible by PET Scans of America. The scan itself took about an hour.
So after this scan was done they informed me of the CT Scan SNAFU! So it’s 2 o’clock now and I was so excited that I would finally get to eat something since I had not eaten since 6 o’clock the night before. Not So! 
I am now escorted to the CT Scan area and end up waiting almost another hour before I get the Chest CT Scan I should have had yesterday. Then went pretty quick …
So I finally got to eat 22 hours later! Woohoo! Friendly’s food never tasted so good! 
Tomorrow (Friday – 6/06/03) is my first Chemo. I am both excited and scared. Hopefully it will go smoothly. Wish me luck!
If I am up to it I will post what it was like when I get home.
