So we’re finally home … if we have not called you yet and you are reading this here .. please do not be upset. It’s been a rough day and we’ll finish calling people tomorrow …
Well .. I got good news and bad news today …
The Good News: The NHL is gone …
The Bad News: I have been officially diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma today. 
Now the fun starts ..
Bone Marrow Biopsy - 10/15
1st round ABVD - 10/20
2nd round ABVD - 11/03
Then we see if I respond to this kind treatment … if i do .. I get to give myself shots all week to boost my white blood cells .. then I get to have my stem cells harvested and those will be frozen.
I then get to go to the hospital where I will stay and get BEAM everyday for 4 hours. This will pretty much kill every cell in my body - Cancer, White, and Red. After that week I have to stay in there 2 more weeks while they re-transplant (?) my stem cells back into me to stimulate my red blood cell growth.
And if I get through this I am told it will take me 3-6 months to even get the strength to go back to work.
Sorry to be so frank and nonchalant about it, but that pretty much sums it all up.
I am pretty frightened about being in the hospital for 3 weeks. Other than that I know I will get through this. Bubba was no match for me and this new crap doesn’t stand a chance either.
