SO far so good. Carrie spent the night with me last night. It was nice to have her there when I woke up.
For those of you that do not know .. this is my 2nd time getting chemo on my Birthday.
All of the staff has been outstanding here: Terry, Kate, Valerie, Courtney, and Amanada. I have been trying to write all the names down so hopefully I did not forget anyone.
My 2nd chemo started last night around 8pm. It is still going. I think this portion will run until 8pm and then I get the last blast of the of this chemo at 8pm and that will last an hour and then I will be done.
So all in all these are the new drugs I have gotten:
- Ifosfamide – 24 hour infusion
- Carboplatin – 30 minute infusion
- Etoposide – 1 hour infusion (x3)
SO I do not really have much else to stay. More than anything I wish I was home doing normal stuff on my Birthday. Yes today (11/07) is my 36th birthday.
ICE was suppose to be worse than ABVD & CHOP/R … I am still waiting for stuff to happen. I mean I do not even feel all that tired. Maybe all this hits you once you get of out of the hospital.
I am hoping that because I am coming through this better than expected that my BEAM treatment in December will not be so bad as well.
I’ll be sure to post more today …
