So today my SCT was scheduled. Looks like I will be going in the morning of Christmas Eve.
Yeah it sucks, but I look at it as I get 3 more days at home!
I am pretty excited about it. I mean this could be it. After this .. NO MORE CANCER!
My ONC is pretty confident that this will do the trick. The two ICE treatments I have had have knocked the cancer for a loop. There is no new growth and the tumors I have are smaller.
So here is the regiment I will receive (BEAM):
The side effets sound a little brutal, but I have handled all my past chemotherapies: CHOP/R, ABVD, and ICE fairly well. My ONC is thinking because of this I should do very well. We will see.
I was told my catheter will get removed when I am discharged from the hospital. Woohoo!
I asked them if I could keep it as a souveneir and they said they did not see a problem with that.
