I heard the news today .. oh boy ..
I heard a news today, oh boy,
Four thousand holes in Blackburn Lancashire,
And though the holes were rather small,
They had to count them all,
Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall,
I’d love to turn you on.
I am in a Beatles mood today. 
So I got my news today. My ONC said I looked amazing today. He said it is hard to believe I have only been out of the hospital a week.
So how did my scans turn out? Well I still have evidence of the disease, but the scans looked really good. I got the CT Scans done the day before I left and the PET Scan 3 days later. They were early. I have two small spots still evident. One is on the left side of my neck (I can’t feel anything there). The other is on the right side of my upper chest near my esophagus (I think that is where it is. He had a medical term for where it was, but I cannot remember it).
So it looks like I will be getting Radiation Therapy. 
Not the news I wanted to hear, but my ONC says that Hodgkin’s Disease responds well to radiation. He thinks I will get 3-4 weeks of it for 5-10 minutes/day everyday (Mon-Fri) starting February 1st.
I have met my Radiation Oncologist before I just cannot remember how to spell his name. He was very nice. He was the one that put me on the right track in May 2003 and put me in touch with my current oncologist Dr. Freidberg.
I am just ready to go back to work already. This Radiation Therapy throws a monkey wrench into that. Throws a monkey wrench into my training schedule for the Ride for the Roses. Which I am told (by my Oncologist) I should have no problems making anyways. So I will suck it up like I have before and probably amaze myself at how well I get through it.
