So I just found out about this Duathlon today. It is held at the historic Watkins Glenn Raceway in Watkins Glen, New York.

You actually get to race your bike on the Watkins Glen race track! How cool is that? It is a Formula style Duathlon only. So that means you will be doing the following.

1.75 mile run –> 10.2 mile bike (3 laps of track) –> 1.75 mile run –> 10.2 mile bike –> 1.75 mile run

The running portion is done on the dirt roads of the infield of the track.

The cost is $60 and gets you entry to the track for all the day’s festivities:

Timeline
8:30 am Porsche Clash begins
4:30 pm Porsche Clash ends
3:30-5 pm registration
5:30 pm track opens for warmup
6:30 pm race begins
8-9:30 pm BBQ and awards

The website states this is the last year for the Fly By Night Duathlon, so do not pass up a chance to race on the historic track.

More information can be found at their website -> Fly By Night Duathlon.
