Neuvation F100

So after much research …  I have opted to buy my new bike from Neuvation Cycling.

I have been looking to replace my 2003 Giant OCR3 for the last 2 years now. So this decision has been two years in the making. Since this is the last bike I will probably buy for a long, long time I wanted to make sure I got the components I wanted and wasn’t just settling for something one step up from what I have now (Shimano Sora).

So this is what I have decided on:

Neuvation Cycling Alloy

  • Size: 61cm
  • Fork: Neuvation FK100 Carbon Fork w/ Alloy Steerer
  • Group Set: Sram Force
    • Sram Force Shifters
    • Sram Force Crank (34×50)
    • Enduro Ceramic Bottom Bracket
    • Sram Force Brake Calipers
    • Sram Force Front Derailleur
    • Sram Force Rear Derailleur
    • Sram 1070 Cassette 10 Speed (11×26)
    • Sram Standard PC-1070 Chain
  • M28 Aero3 Wheels w/Ceramic Bearings
  • Stem: Neuvation ST173 (100mm 73 Degree)
  • Handlebars: Neuvation HB100 (6061 31.8 440mm)
  • Aero Seat Post 27.2×350
  • Saddle: Neuvation S3
  • Tires: Michelin Pro Race3 Black & Gray (23)

The bike arrived yesterday and I think it is gorgeous! The photo of the assembled bike did not have the seat adjusted yet. I don’t really ride with the seat that high.

I have not gotten out to ride it yet. I could not seem to get my old Look pedals off of my old bike. Luckily Tyler said he had an old set of Look pedals I could have. So if the weather is nice I will take it out for a spin.

I will post again and give my thoughts of the overall feel of the bike and the Sram Force components.

We’re back.

We’re back online. Unfortunately all the data I had before (posts, results, photos, etc) is gone so I am slowly going to have to go through and try to replace most things from memory. :)

First Treatment Today (2/10/05)

So I slept pretty well last night. I was worried that I would not get any sleep. I was pretty nervous driving all the way in to the Cancer Center.

When we arrived I just seemed ready to get it over. No anxiety .. no queasiness. The technicians were very nice. We arrived at around 8:15am and we were in the car and on our way home by 8:41am. It was all pretty uneventful.

They let Carrie come back and see the machine and watch me be lined up for my treatment. It was nice to have her there. smile

We took a couple of photos.
The first one is just of the machine that will be administering my treatments.

This second image is of me actually lined up to receive my treatment.

I just wanted to thank Lori & Chopper for letting me borrow their digital camera. It has been coming in very handy and works very well!

So I have to say this will be a piece of cake. I am sure once I start to get sore I will probably not think that way, but I will worry about that when it comes. For now I am just excited because I can head straight to work right after my treatments and be there by 9am most days! smile
